Summer Rompers

Rompers, or playsuits, are the best things ever. I mean, it’s like a dress ((a whole outfit in one piece)) combined with shorts – so it’s still casual and comfortable. Literally, the best of both worlds! Some are girlie, some are sporty, some are sexy, and most all can be dressed up or down. They’re a summer staple in the closets of so many women due to their versatility and ease of wear.

I brought this Lilly Pulitzer romper along with me to the islands because it’s easy to pack (takes up practically zero space in a suitcase), but I wear it around Dallas all the time, too. It is perfect for shopping and lunching with my girlfriends, strolling in the park with my pups, and it doubles as a swimsuit cover-up. The bright colors are fun and flirty, and the best part? It has pockets!

I recently wore this romper over my swimsuit for a day of exploring and beach-hopping around St. John. It was perfect for the beach, popping in and out of shops and restaurants, and finishing the day with happy hour on the patio. I paired it with nothing but neutral sandals, as I was in and out of the ocean all day, but a brightly colored necklace, statement earrings, or a stack of tassel bangles would have been the perfect match for this look!

My romper is old (last season), but this one is pretty similar. I’ve also rounded up some of my other favorite rompers that are perfect for summertime!
