There is only so much I can take of the winter weather. I mean, endless days of chilly temps and dark nights stuck inside have really given me a serious case of cabin fever. I’m ready for a vacation. Who’s with me?! For a quick mental vacay, my husband and I always play this little game where we ask each other this: If you could be anywhere on Earth – right now, at this very moment – where would you be, what would you be doing, and who would you be with?
That’s easy. Right now, I’d be strolling along the beach on Jost van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands, hand-in-hand with my husband, the blue sky would be turning shades of pink and orange, and we would be making our way to Foxy’s to watch the sun set. I’d be barefoot, wearing this bikini and this cover up, accessorized with these sunnies, salty hair, and bronzed, sandy skin. I know, I know… dream world, right?
Well, since I am very much NOT there right now, the next best thing I can do is share with you these amazing made-for-beach-getaways pieces I’ve been obsessing over lately. I want every.single.one of them. And a little tip: buy these babies early, because even though it’s February and you might not need to wear them for several more months, they’ll be snatched up fast (like this Kiini bikini I was dying over when it was on sale for < $60 and didn’t purchase it quickly enough… now it’s sold out in a lot of colors and going for close to $300!).

Below are additional items on my (very long) vacation wish list. These are the items that would make up my dream vacay wardrobe.
As you can probably tell, I am obsessed with the carefree, sundrenched, boho-chic style exhibited in these looks. Most of the looks are from Australian fashion labels (Faithfull, Flynn Skye, Arnhem, Spell, Auguste, Kivari, Sisters). I can’t get enough of them! The style, to me, invokes feelings of wanderlust, magic, and the exhilarating feel of breathing in salty air. There’s also just something about the Aussies that makes them so cool – their perpetual suntans, their wind-blown hair, their laid-back beach vibes…sign me up! ((For more of my Aussie faves, see this post from last spring.))
