One of my favorite collections from NYFW is the Zimmermann collection. I love the free-flowing, exotic feel of the brand. It invokes dreams of travel, wanderlust and charm. My favorite part about the brand is the way they do their swim & resort collections. They have perfected the boho-chic meets jet-setter meets beach-babe vibe.
Their Spring ’16 runway showcased loads of short dresses with high collars, bell sleeves and muted pastels. They took a Victorian-era style and updated it with an intense focus on details used in unexpected ways: lace, ruffles, tulle, embroidery, floral prints all nestled somewhere between casual & formal. They perfected their signature dreamy, ethereal style in the collection.
The make up was a minimal, au natural look with a strong brow. The models’ hair was pulled back into wispy buns with somewhat wind-blown flyaways. The overall effect seemed to highlight natural beauty.
